Jacqui O'Brien is Jacquie O'Brien

Issues relating to Jacqui O'Brien and her evidence at the hearing  of claim number 3202219/2016

In June 2018,  at the hearing of claim 3202219/2016,  Jacqui O’Brien, under oath, alleged that I owed the Council money.  She also alleged that I was overpaid and that I took excess leave over and above my entitlement.  None of the Council's other witnesses  made any of these allegations. They were all managers. No one had alleged any of what Jacqui O'Brien alleged when she gave evidence.

In addition, under oath, Jacqui O'Brien denied knowing me,  and she  denied having being my manager in 1996, and she  denied having worked at the “Action Department, Queen’s Bench Division of the High Court”, at the Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, London WC2.  Jacqui O’Brien claimed that she worked for NHS but couldn’t recall what post, where or when!

“Jacqui O’Brien” of  2018  is  “Jacquie O’Brien” from 1996

I raised the issue of Jacqui O’Brien not being truthful in her evidence and that it was her way of getting back at me  and that she was victimising me again.

I identified “Jacqui O’Brien” as “Jacquie O’Brien” from my past when she gave evidence.  She had referred to herself as “Jacqui O’Brien” in her Witness Statement,  i.e. “Jacquie” without the letter “e”.    She stated that she was Principal HR Adviser at London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and that she was based at Roycraft House, Linton Road, Barking IG11 8HE. In addition,  I had  received correspondence in 2016  from a “Jackie Cleary” also from the Council HR. But whoever she was, she did not give evidence.

At the hearing in June 2018,  I explained that I had worked with Jacqui O’Brien back in 1996. She was my line manager at the “Action Department, Queen’s Bench Division of the High Court”, at the Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, London WC2.  Our employer was “The Court Service” as it then was. I was an Administrative Officer, (AO) and she was an Executive Officer, (EO).  She was Jacquie O'Brien in 1996.  She left a racist letter on my desk. And I complained of race discrimination and victimisation against her - under the Race Relations Act 1976.

Nothing is stated about 1996 in the Reserved Judgment or in the Corrected Reserved Judgment

Although the black female Employment Judge of West Indian origin asked me questions about my past with Jacqui O'Brien,  which I explained and I saw the Employment Judge made notes, there appeared to be nothing stated in the reserved judgement or in the corrected reserved judgment about my having worked with Jacqui O’Brien,  or about the racist letter which Jacqui O’Brien left on my desk in 1996 or about my previous complaints against Jacqui O’Brien under the Race Relations Act 1976.
